The Einstein Intersection is a novel of a strange far future where Einstein's laws of time and space no longer apply. The seed of man has mutated and being with all kinds of abnormalities have inherited the earth. Such a one is Lobey, who is 'different' because he can hear the music in other people's minds. Lobey is in love with Friza, a beautiful deaf mute with telekinetic gifts. She is mysteriously killed, and Lobey, a modern Orpheus, is impelled to journey across the country in search of his Eurydice. Along his questing trail he meets Spider, who epitomizes the traitor throug the ages; Kid Death, the red-headed killer from the sea; the Dove, embodiment of woman the beautiful; and Green-eye, victim of a ritual invented by a long-dead race.
